Just as I said, here I am blogging on Tuesday. Today I am going to give you all a report about my various projects, giving me incentive to keep moving forward.
First off, for The Devil's Nightmare, the writing is moving along nicely now. So far I am pleased with how everything is turning out, and am thinking we definitely will have something ready by fall, or maybe even in the summer in electronic form. The story is very action oriented, yet it has human elements to it like in Shadow House. There might be the possibility the book will be made into a graphic novel--more on that later.
As far as my young adult novel, it is on hold right now. I might work on it when I need to step back from The Devil's Nightmare, but it is temporarily set aside.
The next Shades of Night story is partially done, but honestly I want to get The Devil's Nightmare to a good, polished state before I continue on with the Perfect Village story. I promise this will be worth the wait, as the story is already longer and provides more twists and turns than the other three Shades of Night stories that are published right now. I also have to admit that the story has painted the main character into a corner, and I was having trouble getting him out. Perhaps he won't get out. In any case, I am thinking this will be ready definitely by late spring/early summer, but probably sooner than that. I have lined up at least one more Shades of Night story after that, which will likely come out in the fall.
In addition, I am working on some other projects, both by myself and with some other creative people. One project I will debut in the Amazon film contest, but it won't be ready for some time now. That story I am keeping a tight lid on, but you will all get to see not only the story but how it does in the contest in the future.
So that is what is going on for right now.
